The INTERSECT dinner brings together two highly talented populations: freshmen and sophomore Harbert College Honors students exploring their major options and current Beta Alpha Psi members who exemplify excellence in accounting. Based on the idea that honors and accounting students often share traits – analytical thinking, achievement orientation, and leadership potential – this event introduces younger students to the exciting possibilities in the accounting profession. BAP members can also recommend invitees who demonstrate exceptional talent, creating a curated group of high-potential students. Hosted on the Horton-Hardgrave Hall rooftop in October, the evening features dinner, games, and door prizes in a relaxed atmosphere where students can interact with BAP members, School of Accountancy faculty, and sponsor representatives as they make critical decisions about their academic and career paths.
