Financial Accounting Stars

Beta Alpha Psi hosts the Financial Accounting Stars Banquet each semester to recruit the best and brightest students into the accounting major. The event rewards the top 10% of students who are currently enrolled in the ACCT 2110 Principles of Financial Accounting course with the opportunity to network with Beta Alpha Psi Members and School of Accountancy faculty over a full course dinner.

Designed to educate pre-business students on opportunities in accounting, attendees not only hear from the Director of the School of Accountancy, but also are treated to a panel discussion from upper level accounting students about their experiences in the SOA, internships, and recruiting.

This event has historically enticed top pre-business students to declare accounting as their major, and to eventually join Beta Alpha Psi. It is traditionally hosted in November and April.

Attendance at the Stars Banquet is by invitation only.  Interested students should speak to their ACCT 2110 professor about how they can position themselves to receive an invitation for the next event.  Beta Alpha Psi members & candidates will receive details about the banquet at the beginning of the semester.
